STEAK WITH CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE

Anyone else love the moment when you cut into a seriously juicy AF steak?  What about when accompanied by a creamy mushroom sauce?  Yeah that’s what we are talkin about….

Serves 1.

    What you need:
  • 1 fillet of steak
  • 3 cups of chopped mushrooms
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 2  Tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp Siena Garlic and Herb Seasoning
    How to make:
  • In a small fry pan, heat 1 Tbsp coconut oil and add the mushrooms and Siena Garlic and Herb Seasoning. Sauté until caramelised. Add the coconut milk and cook for 30 seconds or until just starting to bubble. Take off the heat and place the sauce in a small bowl covered with aluminium foil to keep warm.
  • In a small fry pan, heat 1 Tbsp coconut oil and add the mushrooms and Siena Garlic and Herb Seasoning. Sauté until caramelised. Add the coconut milk and cook for 30 seconds or until just starting to bubble. Take off the heat and place the sauce in a small bowl covered with aluminium foil to keep warm.
  • Heat the other 1 tbsp coconut oil in the same pan and once the pan is very hot add the steak. For a 2cm piece of steak, cook for 2-3 minutes each side for medium rare, 4 minutes for medium and 6 minutes each side for well-done.
  • Place the steak on a plate and cover with the creamy mushroom sauce!
  • (Add some extra greens along-side too!!)
