5 WAYS TO NOT WASTE YOUR FOOD

Food wastage and sustainability is just one of the problems that humanity is facing today and with approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food getting lost or wasted each year, we can all do our little bit to reduce this number.

So….

Got leftovers veggies from last night? Saute them in some coconut oil and crack 2 eggs in them and BOOM breakfast is served.

Got leftover veggies AND protein from dinner last night? Toss them together with some green leaves and drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice for a quick salad for lunch.

Broccoli is a couple of days old and looking and little sad in the fridge? Cut it into florets and chop the stalk too (leaving just the bottom 2 cms) and lay it out on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil or coconut oil and salt and bake at 190c for 20 minutes until crispayyyy

You hate throwing out like half the weight of the cauliflower in leaves? ‘Cause you paid for that s%*t!! They actually taste fantastic roasted in the oven and all crispy. Drizzle them with coconut oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano and you will have the best crispy fries of your life. OR roast the cauliflower whole, leaves and all! Celery leaves, broccoli stalks, floppy carrots, kale stems, herb stems and literally any veggie bits can be thrown into your slow cooker along with a chicken carcas, onion, garlic, herbs and spices and a dash of ACV and BOOM homemade bone broth that you can sip allllll winter long
